Friendships are on the line.
Your group already argues about what is going to happen next. Oddience makes it official. Start a private circle, call it before anyone else does, and find out who actually knows their friends.
Free on iPhone and Android.

How it works
Three steps from inside joke to scoreboard.
It all happens in one private circle. Same crew, same running jokes, now with a record of who called it.
Post the wager
Think of something the group will argue about, add the choices, and set when picks close. "Will the boat start on the first try?" takes about twenty seconds.
The circle picks
Everyone gets a ping and puts points on it. You can see how the group is leaning, but nobody sees what anyone put down.
Settle and gloat
Someone posts what actually happened. Points move, the leaderboard flips, and the group chat gets loud.
Use cases
Any crew. Any weekend.
Wherever the group already argues about what is going to happen, there's a circle waiting to be made.

Four rounds, one running contest. Something on the line at every hole, all weekend long.

Everyone already knows the answer. Hide it from Casey so they do not suddenly get careful with it.

Lake houses, ski cabins, campsites. The trip gets a scoreboard and a champion by the drive home.

Due date, birth weight, hair or no hair. The whole family picks, and the circle settles it the day the baby arrives.
Inside the app
A board, a feed, and a leaderboard.
Home is where the open wagers live. Activity keeps the running story and the standings. Here is what that looks like.
Contest finale
Every trip ends with a champion.
When the trip is over, the circle locks in a champion, the final standings, and the handful of moments you will be arguing about until next year.

FAQ
Questions people ask first.
What Oddience is, how private circles and hidden bets work, and why betting with points is not gambling.
What is Oddience?
Oddience is a private, invite-only social betting app where friend groups make playful wagers about each other. You start a circle with your crew, post a question like "Will the boat start on the first try?", everyone puts points on an outcome, and someone settles it once you know what actually happened. It is available on iPhone, on Android, and in any browser.
Is Oddience real-money gambling?
No. Oddience uses virtual points that have no cash value and cannot be bought, cashed out, or redeemed for anything. There is no sportsbook, no house, no deposits, and no withdrawals. The only payout is bragging rights and a spot on your circle leaderboard.
How do hidden bets work?
A hidden bet is a wager that specific circle members cannot see. When you create a wager you choose who to hide it from, and for those people the wager does not appear anywhere in the app until it settles. This is what makes it possible to bet on whether Jeff forgets the ice without Jeff suddenly remembering the ice. Everyone else sees a "Hidden from Jeff" notice, and once the result is posted the whole circle sees the full history.
Can other people see how much I bet?
Not until the wager settles. While a wager is open, the circle can see how many people picked each side and which way the group is leaning, but nobody can see the size of anyone else's stake. You always see your own stake and potential return. Final stakes and payouts are revealed to everyone at settlement.
What do people bet on in Oddience?
Anything your group already argues about. The most common circles are golf trips, bachelor and bachelorette weekends, lake house and ski trips, baby pools, fantasy leagues, reality TV seasons, and office pools. Wagers tend to be about real-life behavior and group lore rather than pro sports lines, because the fun comes from knowing the people involved.
How much does Oddience cost?
Oddience is free to download and free to use. There is nothing to deposit and no points to purchase.
How many people do I need to start a circle?
Two. Circles work well from a couple of friends up to a large group trip or office, and you can belong to several circles at once with separate point balances in each.
Is Oddience on Android?
Yes. Oddience is on Google Play for Android and on the App Store for iPhone, both free. The full web app also works in any mobile or desktop browser, so you can sign up, join a circle, and place bets without installing anything first.
How old do you have to be to use Oddience?
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required where you live, and users under the age of majority need permission from a parent or guardian.
